“Wax and Wane” - Cocteau Twins

Oh but that day was intense (see Y’s entry below)… Carlos waited until the ‘window pane’ um… ‘opened’ our um… ‘doors of perception’. Then he played some Cocteau Twins and claimed the ‘window pane’ would also open our ‘ears of perception’ and that Elizabeth Fraser’s inane glossolalia would all become crystal clear. Good heavens… My one abiding memory of that insane day (aside from the faces appearing in the walls and ceiling à la ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’) is that of Yadi and I - enlightened and benighted at the same time - chanting ‘Wax and Wane’ like some mantra…
